Testimonies

Emanuella

Earlier this year, I became Facebook friends with a sister from Italy named Emanuella. I soon learned of the work she does with her husband, teaching the Scriptures and translating Christian books and articles into Italian. Because Emanuella is fluent in French, she was able to join our Psalms cohort. And because I speak Italian, I was able to watch Emanuella in action at a recent online women’s gathering and give her helpful feedback on her teaching. It was such a privilege to bless not only native French-speaking women from Europe and North America but also this precious Italian sister with a passion for the Word. If we in the French-speaking world ever feel isolated as a tiny minority in a sea of secularism, imagine the isolation our Italian brothers and sisters feel.

Evelyne

For the past two years, Evelyne has been editing my articles before I submit them to TPSG. She has also been an active participant in the women’s Bible studies I have led at my church over Zoom. This year, my schedule did not permit me to lead the study as in past years. As I considered what to do for the Bible study to continue, Evelyne came to mind immediately. She participated in SOLA: Femmes Scriptura’s Spring Workshop in expository teaching as well as in our recent cohort. Her devotion to and competence in handling the Scriptures convinced me that she would be the ideal person to lead our women through their study of the book of Acts. As we continue to provide these trainings, we are confident that more such women will be raised up to lead and teach among the women of our churches in Quebec. Praise God!
